I) Regatta management items:  [Chief Referee]

• Saturday (heats and semifinals) was a good day of racing
• Launch drivers were not ready with equipment at the beginning of Saturday, however were able to catch up with schedule
• Bow numbers need to be returned from beach landing to control commission in launch area

II) Tentative 2009 MSRA championship regatta bids (May 9-10, 2009)  

No bids were put forward, and the Cincinnati (Clermont/CCDS) LOC were willing to consider hosting another year

Discussion followed from the coaches present that the MSRA Championship was for many schools their least expensive regatta in terms of entry fees. Suggestions included:

• eliminating the entry fee cap;
• adding a ($1) per rower fee;
• increasing to $60/eight, …
  
  Sponsorship was also discussed, creating sponsors from team home area to help sponsor the regatta

  Volunteers would up helpful from other teams. Upper Arlington has already offered.

  The LOC will prepare a proposal including entry fees and submit it to the Executive Committee

III) MSRA as a qualifier for Youth Invitational (1^st place: V8, V4+, V4x, V2x, V1x, Lt8, Lt4+, Lt2x):

Proposal on lightweight (body fat, weight loss,…) – was not discussed

IV) SRAA (MSRA as a qualifier):

Scholastic Rowing Association invitations will continue.

V) Discussion about the weather forecast for Sunday (storms and wind) 

The Executive Committee decided to reverse the schedule (event 34, 33, 32,..), and moving the Novice 4s to the end, and potentially cancelling the 1x and 2-/2xs
