Minutes of the August 16, 2025, C.C.A.R.C. Meeting

The Meeting was called to order at 9:01 a.m. by Tom, KB9WSL, President.

Secretary’s Report:

Jerry, KD9TSH, presented the minutes of July 19, 2025, meeting. The minutes were approved with 1 change.

Under Field Day changed “Marion also commented that John, KB9SIR, was disappointed with the food donations this year. Not for sure if he will do this next year.” This was changed to “Marion also commented that John, KB9SIR, was disappointed with the number of members and guests who attended this year. Not for sure if John will go out and get food donations next year.”

Treasurer’s Report:

Dave, N9WCQ, presented the treasurer’s report.

Checking Account Balance as of July 19, 2025 -- $1,146.55

Check to Dave Wandrei for $200.00 to reimburse for club liability insurance

Check to Marion Bell for $400.00 to reimburse for lift rental. For work done at EMA

Deposit $12.00 Donations

Deposit $20.00 Dues paid

Ending Checking Balance $578.55

Savings Account Balance as of July 19, 2025 -- $758.06

Deposit of $0.10 for interest payment.

Ending Savings Balance $758.16

Total of both Checking and Savings $1,336.71

The treasurer’s report was approved as read.

Bills: 

$32.10 for 6 frames for certificates

There was a motion and second to pay the bill. It was approved to pay the bill.

Repeaters:  

Repeaters are up and running.

443.650 repeater, 13 watts coming out of the cavities, and 17 watts into the cavities.

NCI Hamfest:

Marion, KA9BYN, and Jerry, KD9TSH have received an email from Brain, the NCI Hamfest chair, and Lindsay Hamaker are going to step down from the NCI Hamfest leadership role. We are going to have a meeting that will disclose how much funds will be distributed among the clubs. Clubs that hosted the NCI Hamfest this year were Cass County, Miami County, Grant County and Kokomo.

There was a small conversation about the NCI Hamfest.

Old Business

No update from Allen James regarding storm spotting.

Fred, KC9KLL, made up some certificates for our Field Day appreciation.

Recognition Given

Tom, KB9WSL, presented a certificate to Marion, KA9BYN, for being the Summer Field Day Chairman.

Marion, KA9BYN, presented a certificate to John, KB9SIR, for appreciation for getting donations for summer field day.

Comments/Suggestions

Reminder to pay your club dues.

Miscellaneous Information

We had a $17.00 donation.

No other business meeting was adjourned at 10:01 a.m.
