Minutes of the July 19, 2025, C.C.A.R.C. Meeting

The Meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Tom, KB9WSL, President.

Secretary’s Report:

Jerry, KD9TSH, presented the minutes of June 21, 2025, meeting. The minutes were approved with 1 change. Under the Treasurer’s report Corrected Roger Woodworth’s call sign from AA9IR to N9AIR.

Treasurer’s Report:

Dave, N9WCQ, presented the treasurer’s report.

Checking Account Balance as of June 21, 2025 -- $1,113.55

Deposit $20.00 Dues Paid

Deposit $13.00 Donations

Ending Checking Balance $1,146.55

Savings Account Balance as of June 21, 2025 -- $757.97

Deposit of $0.09 for interest payment.

Ending Savings Balance $758.06

Total of both Checking and Savings $1,904.61

The treasurer’s report was approved as read.

Bills: 

$400.00 Rental for the lift to work on the antennas at the EMA.

$200.00 for the club’s liability insurance.

There was a motion and second to pay the bills. It was approved to pay the bills.

Repeaters:  

Repeaters are up and running. UHF power out 14 watts coming out of the cavities.

NCI Hamfest:

No update.

Field Day:

750 Bonus points, 720 QSO points, 1470 total points

Lost the 6-meter beam, anchors that hold the drip loop up by the rotor, came lose. Looks like the coax was pulled out of the connector.

Marion, KA9BYN suggested that we look for another Summer Field Day chair. Marion also commented that John, KB9SIR, was disappointed with the food donations this year. Not for sure if he will do this next year.

Tom, KB9WSL, gave Marion, KA9BYN, ARRL certificate of merit.

 Comments/Suggestions

Fred, KC9KLL, suggested that we get a GPS device to hook up to the Windows XP machine that has the digital mode software on it. The GPS unit is around $20.00 plus shipping cost and a USB extension cable. This is connected to the computer via USB.

Fred also suggested that we should have a get together in the park or someplace.

Miscellaneous Information

We had a $12.00 donation.

No other business meeting was adjourned at 9:51 a.m.
