Minutes of the January 17, 2026, C.C.A.R.C. Meeting

   

The Meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Marion, KA9BYN, President.

Secretary’s Report:

Jerry, KD9TSH, presented the minutes of December 20, 2025, meeting.  The minutes were approved with one change. Under “Comments/Suggestions” Corrected Jeff Krysevig’s call sign from KCGCL to KC9GCL.

Treasurer’s Report:

Ed, K9PSR, presented the treasurer’s report, in the absent of Dave, N9WCQ.

Checking Account Balance as of December 20, 2025 -- $774.45

Check to David Wandrei for $46.38 for reimbursement to Go-Daddy for two years.

Check to Warner’s Greenhous for 56.71 for Janet Flinn’s funeral flowers.

Deposit $40.00 dues paid

Deposit of $17.00 Donations Received.

Ending Checking Balance $788.36

Savings Account Balance as of December 20, 2025 -- $1,457.75

Deposit of $0.19 for interest payment.

The treasurer’s report was approved as read.

Bills:

Repeaters:  

Marion, KA9BYN, reported that repeaters are up and running.

New and Old Business

Summer Field Day – We are going to need to be thinking of this. We are going to be needing people to step up to get food, antennas, etc.

Marion and couple other club members made some suggestions on some club activities this year. In August we have a picnic in a park and some radio operation, antenna building project, fox hunt, look for someone to take over the website, POTA, activate Biddle’s Island.

 Comments/Suggestions

Marion, KA9BYN, received a phone call to inform him that the loop antenna was taken down by accident by a crane due to the work being done in the field by the EMA Building. Marion is going to put an antenna analyzer on it to make sure it is good to go.

Marion, KA9BYN, commented to keep Dave Wandrei in our thoughts.

Tom, KB9WSL, commented that the Winamac UHF repeater has been taken down due to the site being sold. Jeff Hoffman looking for another site to put the repeater back up.

Miscellaneous Information

We had a $22.00 donation.
