Minutes of the July 18, 2026, C.C.A.R.C. Meeting

Dan, KV9N, President called the meeting to order at 9:02 a.m.

Secretary’s Report:

Jerry, KD9TSH, presented the minutes of June 20, 2026, meeting. The members approved the secretary’s report as read by Jerry, KD9TSH

Treasurer’s Report:

Dan, KV9N, presented the treasurer’s report, in the absence of Dave, N9WCQ.

Checking Account Balance as of June 20, 2026 -- $855.56

Deposit of $12.00 Donations received.

Ending Checking Balance $867.56

Savings Account Balance as of June 20, 2026 -- $1,493.86

Deposit of $0.18 for interest payment.

Ending Savings Balance $1,494.04

Total of both Checking and Savings $2,361.60

Bills: 

During the meeting we had no bills submitted.

Net Control Manager

Tom, KB9WSL reported that July 30th is open for a net control operator. Will need volunteers for August nets.

Repeaters

Sven, K9SEB was not present at the meeting to give a report on the repeaters.

Field Day

Dan, KV9N, reported we operated at EMA and used generator, solar, battery, and commercial power. We also had media publications, and a public information table. We had a GOTA station and youth participation.

One hundred contacts on forty meters, 148 contacts on twenty meters, seventy-six contacts on fifteen meters, including three contacts on the GOTA station. Preliminary score 1,089 points.

Special Events (Pass, Future, and Current)

Huston Park Report – We had around nine people came out to the for lunch and operate. Worldwide contest was going on during this time. We made nineteen contacts on Dan, KV9N radio. Members at Huston Park made three POTA contacts, three Canadian contacts, and several other contacts with other countries.

VOA Museum – Fred, KC9KLL, will get some information to us to visit the VOA Museum.

POTA Event – Any interest in having a POTA Event at Mississinewa Park, Tippecanoe River State Park.

Inventory/Membership/Website

Jerry, KD9TSH, would like to get the inventory started. Jerry also, talked to Rich Systma about putting WordPress on the server for the website, he said not able put WordPress on the server.

Comments

Dan, KV9N, commented about giving reports from other clubs on what they are doing.

Fred, KC9KLL, showed us his portable tree (a tripod to help hold up an antenna).

Miscellaneous Information

We had a $9.00 donation.

Next month’s meeting will be Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The members adjourned the monthly meeting with no other business at 9:32 a.m.
