St. Nicholas' Church on the Bank (Mykoly Naberezhnogo Church) with the Belfry (left). The church was built on the site of a wood church in 1775 by architect I.G. Grigorovich-Barsky. The Belfry was built in 1863 by M.S. Ikonnikov. The Belfry was almost completely destroyed during the Second World War, when the Red Army was leaving Kiev.
The church is situated two blocks from the University of "Kiev-Mohyla Academy" on the right bank of the Dnieper (Dnipro) River.
