Date of the MSRA Championship Regatta: The regatta will continue to be the 2^nd full weekend in May. (May 13-14, 2006).

Site bid for 2006 Championship: accepted bid from Clermont (conditional on approval of East Fork State Park).

Registered Regatta status for the MSRA Championship: continue as USRowing Registered Regatta for 2006.

Boys weight categories: (by a vote of 3-1) continue with 155# 8+ (as in 2005), 155# 4+, 145# 4+ and Novice 145# 4+.

"Junior" (grades 9-11) vs. "2nd Varsity": discussion to be continued in the future

Championship Regatta management:

• Boys and Girls Novice 4+ to have 1000 meter (floating start) heats beginning in 2006. This is in response to the number of entries [2005: 32 and 26, respectively] resulting in 6 or 4 heats and 2 semifinals each and the lack of ability of some of the coxswains of these crews to back into state boats, thus delaying racing. (This solution will not reduce the number of heats and semifinals required, but is intended to get those races completed on schedule.)
  
• 1000 meter (floating start) heats are under consideration for some other events with high subscriptions (2005 entries): Boys Novice 8+ (23), Boys Junior 4+ (28), Girls Varsity 4+ (27), Girls Junior 4+ (27), and in the past Girls Junior 8+, Girls 130# 4+, Girls Novice 8+ and Boys Varsity 4+.

Regatta scheduling: discussion to be continued during the summer.

Membership on the Executive Committee: Interested individuals are to contact Guy Weaser to express interest in serving on the Executive Committee. If more than one individual from each sub-region expresses interest, an election of schools within that sub-region will occur between June 1 and July 15.
