Participants must satisfy their “scholastic eligibility” rules of their home high school.
Composite entries from more than one member organization are not allowed. An athlete must compete for his/her school if it offers a rowing program.
If a “club” has more than 4 oarspeople on
the team (not just attending the regatta) of the same gender, they must row as
the “club”-their HS, otherwise they may all row as that “club”. There were six violations of the rule (Cincinnati
RC: Girls Varsity 4+ & 2-; Mendota RC: Girls Varsity 4+; Oak Ridge RA: Boys
Junior 4+ & Boys Varsity 8+; North Allegheny: Girls Junior 4+). These crews were allowed to race, but did
not receive MSRA medals or points. Points
were awarded as if the total number of crews racing were counted, with eligible
crews moved up in point placing.
