We started this project about the first of February, 1998. At that time our plans were that it would take a year to complete.

We started with a 1994 Volvo White that had been rolled over.
We removed everything from inside the cab and anything that would come off the outside.

Then the truck went to South Bend, Indiana, where they removed the old cab. They then removed the dash and all the wiring and installed it in a newer cab.
In the meantime we went up and got the frame to work on. We removed everything that was bolted on the rails.
We then added 75 inches to the length and then doubled the rails.
Then the cross members had to be cut and fitted. Then came the axles.

Now the new cab is on the truck. The project was completed September 1, 1998.

This is the wrecker body that we used for our Volvo wrecker. We had to take the wrecker body off and paint it. We then installed it on our new Inspiration.
